  1. Whatever was Abu's fate? Can't see anything after his coming home. I am looking at an Aladdin Sultan's Castle in about a two weeks....wondering how your experience has been. I am also in the Pacific NW.

  2. Hi Linda... Just seeing this comment. My bad. Well, Pink Abu ended up with a sprung leaf spring about a week or so after parking it in a bay at my studio. Not a real big deal, but ultimately, after peeling back a few skin pieces, discovered the proverbial ROT. One section led to another...and now I'm STILL in the process of rebuilding from the FRAME UP. It's not HARD, just tedious...plus, I've acquired a 62 Aristocrat that only got a face-lift and a 64 Go Lite that is also a complete rebuild. More so than Pink Abu, but much smaller and no powder room. The Aladdin will, obviously by name, be a very pale pink and cream...and the Go Lite (unnamed at this point) will be dusty aqua - a friend coined the color Wedgwood Green! - taupe and cream. So... long story longer, I have my hands full, but am enjoying the process. Kind of like putting together a puzzle. The pieces just get cleaned up. Polished. Rebuilt. AND my MOST favorite part, the collecting the perfect finishing touches. Re-porcelain on sinks and stove/oven parts. Rebuilding walls and internal wood framing. Sandblasting steel frames. Then, ACCESSORIES too. Decor. Linens. Pillows. Dishes. Oh, YEAH!!! Did you get the CASTLE???
